Drivers will continue to benefit from free evening parking throughout Basildon, after plans were backed by councillors.
There will also be free parking at Billericay Lake Meadows between 8am and 11am on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as no charge for formally recognised voluntary groups and additional parking spaces for pool users at First Strokes Swimming Pool - increasing from 12 to 24 spaces.
The plans also outline a free four-hour period, between 10am and 2pm, at Wickford Main car park on Saturdays and Sundays, funded through the Wickford Area Committee and Wickford Town Council.
There will also be a 30-minute parking option at Wickford Ladygate Car Park, funded by the Wickford Area Committee.
The revised parking tariffs were formed following feedback received during a public consultation and will apply until March 2026.
