We hold a number of networking events, specifically designed for Basildon businesses, to make sure you have access to the latest thinking on key business issues including marketing, finances and tax and business development. The Basildon Business Group (BBG) is a private-sector led business group who provide the voice of local business to Basildon Council, identifying the needs and requirements to boost the borough's economy.
In addition to providing an effective channel of communication between the business community and Basildon Council, BBG works to help identify opportunities, assist in the promotion of the borough and to provide support to business. BBG meets quarterly with Basildon Council to steer programmes of activity that help drive the economy forward in Basildon, Billericay, Laindon, Pitsea and Wickford.
BBG welcomes new members and anyone who wishes to raise an idea or meets quarterly to discuss matters brought to its attention.
BBG is chaired by David Barnes of Barnes IT Solutions. David is also the South Essex Chairman for the Federation of Small Businesses.
Working in partnership with Metro Bank, this network group is open to all small-medium sized businesses in the Basildon and surrounding areas. It takes place on the first Monday of every month. Relaxed, open networking format. Most events will feature a guest speaker providing important and interesting updates for businesses.
