Basildon’s entrepreneurial talent was on display at the Launch-It Creative Tech Pre-Accelerator Demo Day, held on Thursday 26 February at South Essex College.
The event brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, mentors, and local business leaders to celebrate the achievements of participants who have taken part in the pre-accelerator programme. The evening provided an opportunity for participants to present their business ideas and demonstrate the skills and confidence they have developed throughout the programme.
Congratulations go to the programme winners Joe Price, Jeshwin Antony and Juliet Fischer, whose innovative ideas and strong presentations impressed the judging panel.
The judging panel, made up of Tim MacSweeney, Indie Love Gordon and James Cracknell, shared valuable insights and feedback with participants, helping to support the next generation of entrepreneurs as they develop their ideas further.
The event also featured contributions from the programme’s alumni panel, including Archie Begley, Larissa Hazell and Qudus B., who shared their experiences and advice with the current cohort. Participants also benefited from the guidance and support of mentors Bayo and Sebastian throughout the programme.
The pre-accelerator programme is delivered through partnership working, and organisers extended their thanks to Jayne Sheehan and Imelda Fossu for their continued support in making the initiative possible.
The evening concluded with strong support from attendees, reflecting the growing interest in entrepreneurship and innovation within the local community.
